Klou was born out of Cutters, a UK-based company founded in 1999 by a team with deep roots in one of South Africa’s leading distributors of landscaping and forestry equipment.
It was originally just providing garden and arborist equipment to the south of the UK but by 2010 they had expanded into producing hydraulic attachments. In 2014 they decided to just concentrate of this part of the business under the name Klou, an Afrikaans word meaning ‘claw’.
Klou have expanded rapidly with their product range and supply equipment to America, Australasia, Africa and across Europe.
